Database Driven Applications

Built on the Tricryption Engine platform, the Tricryption AppServer Agent protects sensitive data where it is most vulnerable: in a persistent database. Prior to this solution, most companies never attempted to lock down their databases with encryption. The few companies that used encryption in their databases relied upon a single encryption key schema that offered an "all or nothing" protection concept with a severe performance penalty.

In contrast, the SDK allows companies to selectively determine which data sets in a database need protection, and to protect them from both unauthorized insiders and outsiders through the use of dynamically generated transaction-based encryption keys.

This solution gives companies tremendous flexibility in designing their security, while also offering complete protection for their data. With built in support for Java RowSets and ADODB RecrordSets, integration into database driven applications is quick, flexible and secure.

The key database will store encrypted keys and Key IDs, as well as user information and trusted component information. In addition, an application server will contain various client applications and a Tricryption AppServer Agent, which will submit cryptographic transaction requests from the application server to a Tricryption Engine. Finally, a client-side database server will house a target database, which stores all unencrypted data, encrypted data and Hidden Links.
